Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Introduction
Planar ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Smart Money Concepts trading analysis platform, including our Telegram Mini App and our web app at app.planar.one.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
You sign in to Planar with Telegram, with Google, or with both: one Planar account can hold both. When you sign in with Telegram (in the Mini App, or in the web app through Telegram's Login Widget), we receive from Telegram:
- Telegram User ID (numeric identifier)
- Your Telegram name and username, which the app shows to you
When you sign in with Google, we receive from Google, after you confirm in Google's own window:
- Your Google account identifier
- Your email address, which must be verified by Google, and which we keep so that support can find your account
- Your name and profile picture, which the app shows to you and which are kept in your browser tab only
We never read your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and we never post anything on your behalf, in Telegram or in Google.
We also store your login timestamps (first and last login), which sign-in methods your account holds and when each was connected or disconnected, and an account ID that support can ask you for. A sign-in method you disconnect stays recorded as disconnected, so that it cannot be used to open a second account.
2.2 Subscription and Payment Data
When you start the trial or subscribe to a paid plan, we collect and store:
- Subscription plan type (Pro, Premium, Ultimate)
- Subscription status and expiration date, and whether and when your free trial was started (a trial is given once per account)
- Payment amount (in Telegram Stars, or in your card currency)
- Payment transaction IDs (for refund processing), and the customer and subscription identifiers of Stripe for card payments
- Payment history and timestamps
We do not store credit card numbers or banking details. Payments in Telegram Stars are processed by Telegram; card payments are processed by Stripe, which receives your card details directly.
2.3 API Tokens (Ultimate Plan)
For Ultimate plan subscribers using our API, we store:
- Token identifiers and scope
- Token creation and expiration dates
- Usage statistics (request count, last used)
- Revocation status
2.4 Trading Journal (Premium plans)
If you use the trading journal, we store the entries you create: symbol, direction, your entry prices and their shares of the position, stop, target and exit prices, outcome, the emotional state you choose, and your notes and lessons. They are stored on AWS in an account of their own, are shown only to you, and are used only to display your journal and its statistics. We do not read positions from any exchange.
2.5 Browser Notifications
If you turn on notifications in a browser, we store what the browser gives us to deliver them: its push address and encryption keys, a label such as "Chrome on macOS", and the dates it was added and last used. The notifications are encrypted for that browser and delivered through the push service of the browser's maker. You can remove a browser in Settings at any time.
2.6 Local Storage
Data stored locally on your device via Telegram CloudStorage or browser storage (not transmitted to our servers):
- Cached analysis results and price data
- Chart display filters (FVG, Order Blocks, Breakers, Liquidity)
- Default timeframe and symbol selections
- UI theme preferences
- Favorite symbols list
- Chart drawings and annotations
- The API key of an AI provider (Groq, OpenRouter or Google AI), if you provide one for the AI Co-Pilot
- Your web sign-in, which lives in the browser tab and ends when you close it
2.7 Usage Counters
The apps count what is used, as daily totals: for example, that a screen or the plans page was opened, a sign-in or a payment completed, or an AI message sent. A counter holds a number and a short label, with no user ID, symbol or text, so it cannot be traced to you. We also keep when each account was last active.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and personalize our trading analysis services
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Process subscriptions and handle payments/refunds
- Enforce subscription-based access restrictions
- Implement rate limiting and prevent abuse
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
- Send service-related notifications, in Telegram and in the browsers you register
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Server-Side Storage
Your account data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure:
- DynamoDB for user profiles, subscriptions, and settings
- Data encrypted at rest and in transit
- Access controlled via IAM policies
4.2 Network Security
All communications use secure HTTPS/TLS connections. Real-time market data is delivered via encrypted WebSocket connections.
4.3 Logging
We maintain logs for security and debugging purposes:
- API request logs (method, path, response status)
- Authentication events
- Error and exception logs
- Subscription and payment events
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your trading activity or analysis data with advertisers
- Use your data for targeted advertising
- Track your actual trading positions or performance on any exchange (a journal entry exists only if you write it)
- Use third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)
- Implement tracking pixels, or keep a trail of what each person does in the app
- Collect location data or browsing history outside our app
We share data with:
- Telegram: For authentication, payment processing in Telegram Stars, and delivering alerts to your chat
- Google: For authentication, when you choose to sign in with Google
- Stripe: For card payments and the customer portal; Stripe receives your card details and your email address when you pay by card
- Browser push services: Operated by the maker of your browser, they deliver notifications you turned on, which are encrypted for your browser
- AI providers: Only when you use the AI Co-Pilot with your own key: your device sends your question and the plan context you chose directly to the provider you picked; those requests do not pass through our servers
- Cloudflare: Where live prices are enabled, it relays price data to your chart and sees connection details such as your IP address, not your account
- AWS: Cloud infrastructure provider for hosting and data storage
- Exchange APIs: For market data retrieval (Binance Futures, etc.) - no user data shared
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your account data through app settings
- Connect or disconnect Telegram and Google in Settings, as long as one method remains
- Clear cached data and reset local settings
- Cancel your subscription at any time
- Revoke API tokens (Ultimate plan)
- Request deletion of your server-side data by contacting support
7. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Sign-in records: Retained while your account exists, including methods you disconnected, so that they cannot open another account
- Journal entries: Retained until you delete them or your account is deleted
- Browser registrations: Retained until you remove the browser, or the browser's push service says it is gone
- Subscription history: Retained indefinitely for billing records
- Payment records: Retained for refund processing and audit purposes
- API tokens: The token's record is kept until you revoke it or your account is deleted; a token stops working when it expires or is revoked
- Server logs: Retained for up to 7 days
- Usage counters: Daily totals, retained for 90 days
- Local cache: Until you clear it or uninstall the app
8. Children's Privacy
Planar is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Trading financial instruments requires legal age and capacity in your jurisdiction.
9. International Data Transfers
Our services are hosted on AWS infrastructure which may process data in various regions. By using Planar, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, regardless of your location.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
